I preached a sermon about caring for the poor a few years back. I ended the message with a challenge to join me the following week to give out food boxes to the underprivileged. A gentleman met me at the backdoor in our weekly ritual of shaking hands and saying our goodbyes. As he shook my hand, he looked me in the eye and said, “Preacher, I didn’t like your sermon. Not one bit!” And he walked down the steps of the church toward his car.
