Together, What If
Summary and Questions
Worry is a sin because you are giving it the power to shape who you are.
We cannot worry our way into a better tomorrow.
We can’t worry our way into a better tomorrow, but we can trust our tomorrows in the hands of God, and that will give us a better today.
What is one worry that you need to turn over to the Lord?

Lord, I know I am supposed to “be still and remember that you are God.” But I am on edge. Worry has my mind turning cartwheels, and anxiety has my spirit restless.
I am concerned about my family and my community. Situations I don’t understand keep me up at night. Circumstances beyond my control have me nervous.
I know that I cannot worry my way into a better tomorrow, but that doesn’t mean I won’t stay up tonight trying. All the “what if’s” are taking cover.
I was hoping you could take over to ease my mind and calm my soul. Please give me the courage to reach out when I feel alone. And may I rest in the peace of your presence as I cast my cares on you.
Thank you for your peace. Amen.
