Savoring the Small Things
Savoring the mundane and small things in life makes us aware of the joy of simplicity in our often busy lives.
We need to take on the attitude of the apostle Paul who said, “I have learned how to be content in any circumstance.”
Joy comes from learning to be content in the moment. This is what makes joy different from happiness. Happiness is dependent on the situation. Joy is rooted in the faithfulness of God. It says that although my current situation is less than ideal, God is still in control.
The world changes. God remains present. We still find gifts. This is where our joy resides.
Where can you look for the joy in simplicity today?
