Mid-Week Inspiration: Wednesday, May 21, 2025
Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial start to summer. It includes time with family, cookouts, and the start of summer activities. More importantly, it is a sacred opportunity to pause, remember, and honor those who laid down their lives so that we might enjoy the blessings of freedom and peace.
Living in Gainesville, Georgia, I am surrounded by reminders of community, courage, and resilience. From the beauty of Lake Lanier to the strength of our neighbors and veterans, we see glimpses of hope even in heavy seasons. Let us lean into that hope and ask God to heal, guide, and restore us as a people.
This Memorial Day, may we honor the fallen and commit ourselves to being peacemakers, bridge-builders, and bearers of light in a world that desperately needs it. May the God of all comfort strengthen those who grieve, renew those who serve, and bless this land with His grace.
