Mid-Week Inspiration: Wednesday, May 10, 2022
I will never forget when my children were learning to swim. The first time I invited them to jump into my waiting arms in the pool was a lesson in faith. My youngest son would walk to the edge, hesitate, step back, and then take another step to the edge before finally closing his eyes and jumping.
It reminds me of when the disciples saw Jesus walking on water. They were afraid. He encourages them, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Peter invites himself to talk a walk with Jesus on the water, and Jesus says, “Come on!”
Where is uncertainty holding you back?
Friends, the One calling us out is more powerful than the uncertainty we face. So don’t let hesitation talk you out of an adventure with Jesus.
