Mid-Week Inspiration: Wednesday, July 9, 2025
Are you feeling worn out even in the middle of summer? You’re not alone. The kids are out of school, the lawn won’t mow itself, and let’s be honest, vacation isn’t always as restful as it sounds.
Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” That’s a deeper kind of rest, rest that restores your soul.
One of the most powerful ways we come to Jesus is through worship. When we gather with others to sing, pray, hear the Word, and receive grace, we respond to His invitation: “Come to Me.” Sunday worship becomes more than a routine—it becomes a place of spiritual renewal. It’s where we’re reminded that God is near, that we belong, and that we don’t carry our burdens alone.
So whether you're traveling or staying home, working or resting, make worship part of your rhythm.
If you're in town, I'd love for you to check us out at Gainesville First United Methodist Church in Gainesville, Georgia.
