Mid-Week Inspiration: Wednesday, January 19, 2022
If we are honest, there are some people we would like to put in their place. Or, as we want to say, “They have gotten out of their lane.” Before we say something we regret or do something we must live with, it is essential to understand the relationship from the other person’s perspective.
Why are they making things so difficult? What is going on that is causing them to act out? What is life like from their perspective?
How do we deal with difficult people? The same way we deal with our difficulty. We show grace and humility. Humility helps us see the brokenness in others. Grace gives room for God to work through the brokenness. Grace and humility will put the caring into confronting.
Who do you need to show grace and humility to today?

Opportunity to Make a Difference
Easter is an exciting time as we celebrate that Christ has Risen! Children start the day full of joy as they receive their Easter baskets and go on egg hunts. However, for children in foster care and children of families experiencing difficulties, the holidays can be a tough time. Help give children a chance of normalcy and experience the joy of waking up to a personalized Easter basket.
GFUMC is committed to providing 50 baskets for children in foster care, and we need the help of the Gainesville community!
If you are available to do a basket, please email Misty Leach at mleach@gfumc.com and she will give you all the details.
Thank you for supporting the Foster Care Ministry of Gainesville First United Methodist Church.
