Mid-Week Inspiration: Wednesday, February 28, 2024
If you briefly scan the Bible book of Psalms, you discover that the writer believed in the power of prayer. In Psalm 3, the psalmist prays, “I cry aloud to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy hill.” In Psalm 4, we read, “The lord hears when I call to him.” In Psalm 6 it says, “The Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord accepts my prayer.”
The author prays with the confidence that the Lord hears his prayers. How confident are you that God hears your prayers? What God is looking for from us is our honesty. If we bring our whole selves to God, we can be confident that God hears our prayers.
Friends, I encourage you to try it today. Have a conversation with God. It will make all the difference.

A Question to Consider: Where do you need to be honest with God? What parts of yourself do you try to keep hidden?
Mid-Week Prayer: Gracious God, Help us to bring our whole selves before You, not holding back, trusting that You accept us as we are. In our vulnerability, let us find strength, knowing that You have heard and cherished our prayers. Amen.
