Mid-Week Inspiration: Wednesday, February 1, 2023
When my oldest son was younger, we enrolled him in karate lessons. I would take him into the room and wait behind a glass while he and other students learned their new skills.
Like every modern parent, I pulled out my phone once I found my seat and started scrolling. However, I looked up to see my son staring back at me. After each learned skill, he would look at me and give me a thumbs up. He wanted to make sure his dad was watching what he was learning.
I noticed other children trying to get their parent's attention, and most kept their eyes on their phones. Of course, I am in no place to judge because I am just as guilty. But that day taught me an important lesson about paying attention. It also got me thinking about God.
Friends, I want you to know that God is never distracted. No matter what you are going through, God sees you. You are not forgotten.
