Mid-Week Inspiration: Wednesday, December 27, 2023
Howard Thurman wrote, “Life is saved by the singing of angels.” Angels singing reminds us that God has taken the initiative to show up in our world. The angels announcing Good News to the shepherds on that first Christmas morning remind us that hope has been born.
What do we do after we hear the angels sing? What do we do after we have been touched by grace, filled with hope, and infused with love? Again, Howard Thurman writes, “When the shepherds are back with their flock, The work of Christmas begins: To find the lost, To heal the broken, To feed the hungry, To release the prisoner, To rebuild the nations, To bring peace among the brothers, To make music in the heart.”
How will you continue to spread the hope of Christmas 2024?

Mid-Week Prayer: Patient God, In Your wisdom, You have set before me tasks and responsibilities, each a stepping stone towards fulfilling my purpose. Grant me the clarity to see the value in every task, the strength to start, and the perseverance to complete them. In moments of overwhelm, grant me peace and the wisdom to pause and breathe, remembering that I find the strength to continue in You. May Your presence be a constant source of comfort and motivation. Amen.
