Mid-Week Inspiration: Wednesday, April 2, 2025
Try this exercise. Take a deep breath. Let the noise fade. Imagine yourself as a tree planted by streams of water. Strong. Nourished. Steady.
In that image is an invitation from God to be deeply rooted in Him—to grow, to flourish, to bear fruit that lasts.
Let God restore your heart, refresh your spirit, and plant you by streams of living water.
Consider this: Healthy trees don’t chase the rain—they stay planted by the stream.
When you’re planted in God, no storm can uproot you. Stay rooted. Stay nourished.
Pastor Jamey
Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with mockers.
But they delight in the law of the Lord,
meditating on it day and night.
They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
bearing fruit each season.
Their leaves never wither,
and they prosper in all they do. (Psalm 1: 1 - 3)
Question to Consider: What would it look like in your life right now to “stay planted by the stream”? Are there any areas where you’ve been chasing temporary sources of strength instead of staying rooted in God’s presence?
Mid-Week Prayer
Lord, help me to be like a tree planted by Your living water—rooted, steady, and nourished in Your presence. Quiet the noise around me and restore my heart. Amen.
