Mid-Week Inspiration: Wednesday, April 19, 2023
NOTE: As you read this, I will be in Tel Aviv, Israel. I appreciate your prayers over the next few days.
The Decca Recording Company rejected the Beatles in 1962. In a letter, they said, "We don't like their sound, and guitar music is on its way out."
In 1977 Ken Olson, Chairman of Digital Equipment Company, said, "There is no reason anyone would want a computer in their home."
One of our most common mistakes is assuming what's happening now will stay that way forever. Our way is the best; we don't want to change it.
And yet, we know the world around us is constantly changing, and it is hard to have clarity on where we are headed.
We may not know what the future holds, but we can know the One who holds the future. The resurrection of Jesus means that he is with us constantly and available to guide us unafraid into the future. We don't have to worry about what might happen tomorrow because God is making everything new.

Mid-Week Prayer:
Lord, hold me in your grace today. Like, enfold me in your grace. If you don’t, I am afraid that unkindness, ungratefulness, and judgmentalism might sweep in and take over. It has happened before. I usually see it when I am made to feel unworthy and alone.
So, Lord, your grace is what I need to sustain me. I choose to drink from your fountain of grace today, and when I meet another weary traveler on the road of indifference, I will offer them a drink from the same cup. Amen.
