Keep Looking for the Rainbow
There is an old story in the bible about Noah, who God told to build an Ark.
The earth was going to flood, and for forty days, Noah and his family were going to be stuck on a large boat with a pair of animals of every kind.
At the end of the forty days, the rain quits. Noah opens the latch to look outside.
Friends, I feel like we are standing where Noah stood. We are peering out into the future, and all we see is a lot of uncertainty.
We are all on the same boat, peering over the same deck, looking back at a very challenging year, and wondering what we will face this year.
In the face of all that is uncertain, how do we move forward?
We do it with hope. A hopeful heart knows that the rain will stop, and the rainbow will be a sign of God’s promised future. So, keep looking for the rainbow.
And look for practical ways to be a rainbow of hope for others.
