Jamey's Newsletter: Sunday, October 15, 2023
In case you are not familiar with the story, in the book of Joshua, God parts the waters of the Jordan for the people to cross.
In what seems to be right out of an Indiana Jones movie, the priest carries the Ark of the Covenant straight into the unknown, and once they feel the cold waters of the river on their sandals, God begins to divide the waters.
The Promised Land was on the other side, but the river stood in their way. Many of us let what is directly in front of us keep us from where God wants us to be.
So, friends, I want to encourage you not to get lost in the fear. Ask yourself, “What one step can I take today to move me in the right direction?” And take that step.” The Promised Land is reached one step at a time.

Weekly Prayer
Gracious God,
We come to you with humble hearts, seeking your guidance and wisdom on living a good and fulfilling life according to your teachings. Help us embody the values of love, compassion, and kindness in all we do.
Please give us the patience to persevere through challenges and the courage to stand firm in our beliefs. May we always seek to do what is right in your eyes, even when it is difficult.
In all aspects of our lives, may we strive for integrity and honesty, knowing that our character reflects our relationship with you. Teach us to be good stewards of the resources you have entrusted to us, using them wisely and generously for the benefit of others.
Amen.
