Jamey's Newsletter: Sunday, August 21, 2022
Over the past few weeks, I have met with some of the wonderful organizations in Gainesville that truly impact our community. However, if you are looking for opportunities to be involved in something bigger than yourself, you need to check out all the nonprofits in our town.
And being involved in something greater than ourselves should be a commitment from all of us. The Bible reminds us to love not only with words but with our actions.
I encourage you to focus on a life of significance defined by more than personal success.
C.S. Lewis once said, "Don't let your happiness depend on something you may lose."
Ask yourself, "What one step can I take today toward a life of significance?"
Where can I commit today?

Prayer for the week
God of peace, You have taught us that we will find salvation in returning and resting in you. In quietness and solitude, we will be strengthened. May we be guided by your Spirit to the place where we can be still and know that you are God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Pre-recorded online worship from Gainesville First UMC, Gainesville, Georgia
How do we stay in the rhythm of God’s grace and make silence and solitude a part of our life? I have three suggestions.
Create rhythms of solitude in your day.
Have a place of solitude.
Discipline yourself so that your words are few.
