I’m thankful because I am surrounded by love. I spent forty years with the true love of my life. Together we had children who grew up to be kind and generous, and thoughtful. They each found true love. I’m thankful for grandchildren who add light and beauty and laughter to my life and for the precious grandchild on the way.
I am thankful for brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and those related by blood and marriage. I love them all.
I’m grateful that I can work and occasionally drive south to put my toes in the sand. I’m thankful to live in north Georgia, where the beauty of the lake and the mountains feed my soul and calm my restlessness. I’m grateful that I can worship where I choose and for my church family and my Soul Sisters.
I am so grateful for friends, friends who lift me up, help me out, set me straight, make me laugh, and make me think. I’m thankful for music and books, coffee and butter pecan ice cream.
