”Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him” Colossians 3: 15-17.
Music has always been an essential part of worship for us. Every Sunday at Orphanage Emmanuel, we are filled with joy and gratitude as we hear the children’s voices raised in praise of God’s power and might and his love and sacrifice to redeem each one of us. Even though we can’t always translate the entire song, the message comes through loud and clear. Jesus Christ is the greatest gift we can share. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve him in Honduras and to sing to God in Spanish with gratitude in our hearts. So how do you lift up the gratitude in your heart to the Lord?
