Exploring The Book of Revelation
No other book of the Bible has produced more confusion, debate, and theories of interpretation than the book of Revelation. John Calvin, pastor and protestant reformer decided this was the one book of the Bible he would not write a commentary on. Martin Luther, the German theologian who began the protestant reformation, had mixed emotions about the book of Revelation. At one point, he argued against its inclusion in the Bible. John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, passed along the views of others in his Notes on the New Testament.
In Revelation, we enter a strange new world of angels, trumpets, earthquakes, strange beasts, dragons, and bottomless pits.
What does multiheaded beast and warriors in blood-drenched robes have to do with the current realities of the Christian faith?
Make plans to join us beginning Wednesday, February 2nd at 8 pm by Zoom as we explore the book of Revelation’s creative and imaginative language and discover its connection to us today.
