Easter
Early that first Easter, Mary went to the tomb, overwhelmed by grief. She had watched hope die. She came expecting silence, sorrow, and a sealed grave.
Instead, she found something no one expected: The stone was rolled away, and the tomb was empty. A voice asked her, "Why are you crying? Who are you looking for?"
That question still matters—maybe now more than ever.
We live in a world filled with noise and division. Truth feels slippery. People are exhausted, angry, and anxious. We're carrying more than we know how to name—grief, disappointment, confusion. Like Mary, we're just trying to make sense of it all.
And in the middle of all that, maybe there's still a voice—quiet but real—asking: Who are you looking for?
Mary didn't recognize Jesus at first—hurt can cloud one's vision—but then He said her name, and everything changed.
Maybe life hasn't gone how you planned. You may have lost some trust in people, systems, and faith. But Easter isn't about pretending things are fine. It's about hope showing up in the middle of the mess.
It's about a love that doesn't shout from a distance—but comes close enough to call you by name.
So today, in all the noise and complexity of the world, take a moment to wonder: Who are you looking for?
Because Jesus—resurrected, alive, and still pursuing—is looking for you.
And He's closer than you think.
